"Anyone who chooses love over law will hear the same accusation eventually.
You’ll be called heretic, woke, deceived. You’ll be told your empathy is compromise, your kindness is corruption. You’ll lose people who once felt like family.
But take heart — you’re in good company.
You’re walking the same road Jesus did."
This is so essential for all who are walking the path of deconstruction. We are not alone. We walk with others who are choosing compassion over condemnation, mercy over malice, love over hatred. We are not alone. And Jesus walks with us, every step of the way. So grateful to walk beside you, Joe. Thank you for timely reminders and much-needed glimpses of light in these long, dark valleys.
Yeah, it was pretty lonely when I first began my deconstruction. I know I've told you this before, but it's a really big deal that you are here for so many people, Joe. In this sub stack, through social media, at church, etc. The more you speak out and remind others that they are not alone, the more encouraged people feel on their own journeys. Thank you for being a trusted travel companion, my friend.
SO GOOD. This really impacted me:

Yes and amen bro! It really is essential. I think I would have had less of a struggle from the get go had I understood this like you do.
